NCAA2 2020/2021. Trevor Hudgins, né le 23/03/1999 à Manhattan (Kansas), 1.83 m 82 kgs, poste 1 US à la recherche de son premier contrat pro pour l'été 2022 (s'il choisi de ne pas bénéficier de sa 5° année "bonus" en Super Senior).

Ayant commencé le basket très jeune, Hudgins a fréquenté la Manhattan High School dans sa ville natale de Manhattan, de 2013 à 2017.
Menant son équipe à trois titres de la Centennial League, avec 2 trophées de MVP du championnat à la clé.

A sa sortie du lycée, peu de facs se bousculèrent pour le signer. Il choisi alors de rejoindre la NCAA2 et Northwest Missouri State, car leur coach le voulait vraiment, entamant un cursus où il a allait connaître une grosse productivité dès le départ.

L'an passé, la star de Northwest Missouri State produisait : 20pts 58%, 51% 3pt (90/177!!!), 90% FT, 2.4 rdbs, 4.6 AS, 1.3 ST, 1.9 TO, 18 d'éval en 37' lors de 30 rencontres.

Cette année, il entame normalement sa dernière année en fac.
Alors qu'il aurait pu, comme tant d'autres, choisir de quitter sa fac et un niveau où il n'a plus rien a prouver, il a choisi de rempiler dans la même fac, fidèle à son coach Ben McCollum, qui fut le seul à croire en lui 3 ans auparavant, lui confiant immédiatement les clés de son équipe.

Trevor Hudgins est un meneur offensif de caractère, aimant pousser le ballon en transition, mettant en valeur ses qualités de rapidité et vitesse.
Physique, sa puissance lui permet d'efficaces incursions et finitions dans la raquette.
Excellent manieur de ballons, en perdant très peu, son centre de gravité bas, lui permet des changements de directions décontenançant ses adversaires.
Bon technicien, bon dribbleur, ses changements de rythmes et ses dribbles chaloupés mènent la vie dure à tous ses défenseurs.

Excellent shooteur gaucher, disposant d'un très équilibré jump shoot. Ce poste 1 gâche peu de ballons.
199% en adresses cumulées 2pts / 3pts / FT. Il est rare pour un extérieur d'obtenir un si beau pourcentage.
Très rentable sur toutes distances, Trevor est un excellent shooteur pouvant dégainer de partout avec efficacité.
Durant 3 ans, sur de grosses séries de 3pts, il a toujours shooté à plus de 50%.

Spécialiste du démarquage, son step back lui permet également de shooter efficacement sur distance NBA.
Très à l'aise pour se démarquer, il est toujours prêt à dégainer pour mettre le feu à la défense adverse.
Clutch, le leader des Bearcats a toujours la main chaude et la tête froide pour prendre les buzzer beater.

Pas super altruiste pour son poste, il pourrait se montrer encore plus passeur. A compenser, pourquoi pas avec un combo à ses côtés.
Même si ce n'est pas ce qu'on lui demande, malgré un gros temps, toujours prêt à lancer les contre attaques, c'est un faible rebondeur sur son poste.

Voici donc un petit meneur rapide et puissant comme en raffole tant la LNB.
Excellent rapport qualité prix de par son cursus, 100% underdog sous côté, il pourrait surprendre bcp de monde et faire le bonheur de plusieurs clubs.
Malgré qu'il évolue en NCAA2, ce n'est pas pour rien que plusieurs scouts NBA restent intéressés, notamment par sa capacité à se créer son shoot et son style de jeu très sûr.
Encore une fois, il a juste besoin d'une opportunité de montrer ce qu'il peut faire.
Un club qui pourra lui donner sa chance.
Peu de chance toutefois qu'il soit retenu au second tour de draft. Il vendra alors chèrement sa peau sur les Summers Leagues.
En attendant, juger ce joueur sur le fait qu'il ne vient pas de NCAA1 serait une énorme erreur.
Nous sommes convaincus qu'il n'aurait pas rougir devant la plupart des meneurs pros aguerris.

This year, he is normally entering his final year of college.
While he could, like so many others, have chosen to leave his college and a level where he has nothing more to prove, he chose to return to the same college, faithful to his coach Ben McCollum,who was the only one to believe in him 3 years before, immediately entrusting him with the keys to his team.

Trevor Hudgins is an offensive leader of character, loving to push the ball in transition, highlighting his qualities of speed and speed.
Physical, his power allows him to make effective incursions and finishes in the racket.
Excellent ball handler, losing very little, his low center of gravity, allows him changes of direction disconcerting his opponents.

Clutch,the leader of the Bearcats always has a warm hand and a cool head to take the buzzer beater.

Not super altruistic for his position, he could be even more of a passer. To compensate, why not with a combo at his side.
Even if this is not what is asked of him, despite a lot of time, always ready to launch the counterattacks,he is a weak rebounder on his post.

Here is a small leader fast and powerful as the LNB loves so much.
Excellent value for money by its curriculum, 100% underdog under side, it could surprise bcp of people and make the happiness of several clubs.
Although he plays in NCAA2, it is not for nothing that many NBA scouts remain interested, especially in his ability to create his shot and his very safe style of play.
Again, he just needs an opportunity to show what he can do.
A club that can give him a chance.
However, there is little chance that he will be retained in the second round of the draft. He will then sell his skin dearly on the Summers Leagues.
In the meantime, judging this player on the fact that he is not from NCAA1 would be a huge mistake.
We are convinced that he would not have blushed in front of most seasoned pro leaders.
