Xavier Castaneda 1,85 m, 88 Kg, né le 26 mars 2000 à Chicago (Illinois) arrière, USA (passeport Bosnien en novembre 2024).

Formé entre University of South Florida NCAA1 (2018-2021) et Akron (2021-2023). En progression constante année après année durant son cursus, il boucle sa dernière année universitaire sur une moyenne de 21,8 points, 4,2 rebonds et 2,9 passes pour 17,3 d'évaluation en 33 minutes sur 30 matchs lors de la saison 2022/2023, où il était le meilleur marqueur des Zips.
Il termine cette année-là, meilleur marqueur de la Mid American Conference et prend place dans l'équipe idéale de sa Conference.
La saison précédente en 2021/2022, il remporte le titre de Champion de la Mid American Conference.

Après avoir fait la Summer League 2023 avec les Clippers, il s'engage avec Lavrio pour lancer sa carrière professionnelle.
Tournant à 14 points, 3 rebonds et 2 passes pour 13,5 d'évaluation en 25 minutes sur 19 matchs de première division grecque 2023/2024. Xavier est un des meilleurs joueurs de moins de 25 ans du championnat. Encore irrégulier, il est néanmoins capable de performances de haut niveau, à l'image à de son 26 d'évaluation contre l’AEK Athènes, 29 contre Peristeri, 24 contre le PAOK ...
Il est un des leaders de son équipe, classée dans la deuxième partie du championnat.
D'ailleurs un des coéquipiers de l'éphémère orléanais, Noah Horchler.

Xavier est un joueur rapide et athlétique, avec une excellente vision du jeu.
Il est également un bon tireur à trois points et un défenseur tenace.
Il dispose aussi d'un grand potentiel au scoring.
Performant grâce à sa capacité à marquer, à être un précieux générateur de lancers francs et à trouver des points au-delà de l'arc.

Très bon tireur à 3 points, avec un pourcentage de 45,5% cette saison en Grèce. Peut scorer sur distance NBA avec régularité.

Passeur intéressant qui voit bien le jeu et sait distribuer le ballon. Moyenne 1,8 passe décisive par match.

Joueur intelligent et posé, qui fait de bons choix avec le ballon.

Défense solide, avec de bons appuis et de l'intensité. Il peut gêner les meneurs adverses.

Axes de progression :
Doit gagner en explosivité et en puissance pour mieux finir près du cercle.

Doit continuer à gagner en expérience et en constance pour s'imposer au plus haut niveau, tout en limitant quelques pertes de balles de jeunesse.

Formed between the University of South Florida NCAA1 (2018-2021) and Akron (2021-2023). Constantly improving year after year during his studies, he finished his final year of college averaging 21.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists for a 17.3 rating in 33 minutes over 30 games during the 2022/2023 season, where he was the Zips' leading scorer.
He finished that year as the leading scorer in the Mid American Conference and took his place in the ideal team of his Conference.
The previous season in 2021/2022, he won the Mid American Conference Championship.

After playing in the 2023 Summer League with the Clippers, he signed with Lavrio to launch his professional career.
Averaging 14 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists for a 13.5 efficiency in 25 minutes over 19 games in the 2023/2024 Greek first division. Xavier is one of the best players under 25 in the league.
