Il a fait ses études et sa carrière universitaire à Georgetown entre 2016 et 2020, où il progresse d’année en année dans la formation, passant de rol player avec 20 minutes par matchs, jusqu'à sa saison senior ou il entre définitivement dans le 5 avec 30+ minutes. Il affiche des stats de 8 points, 4 passes et 4 rebonds, le tout à 50%FG et 40%3FG, faisant de lui un bon soldat pour son équipe. Le premier point fort du jeu de Jagan Mosely est son scoring. Fidèle à la réputation des US évoluant en Europe, il se focalise sur les diverses manières qu’il a de marquer. Sa principale arme est le drive. Jagan est explosif et possède un premier pas clair lui permettant de battre son vis à vis. Il repère parfaitement les faiblesses de la défense et les angles à attaquer, lui permettant de finir au cercle, récupérer des lancers (6 tentés par matchs) ou de renverser le jeu pour un tir ouvert.
